Insulation Energy Appraisal Program Uses 3E Plus^® to Calculate Data

The National Insulation Association's (NIA) Insulation Energy Appraisal Program is a 2-day course that teaches students how to perform an insulation energy appraisal on plant or facility piping and equipment systems.

As Insulation Energy Appraisers, they are qualified to use the 3E Plus software program to evaluate the thermal performance of insulated and/or uninsulated piping and equipment in a given facility. They are trained to document actual Btu losses, translate those losses into dollars, and calculate greenhouse gas emission levels with current in-place insulation systems - important information for any facility manager concerned about energy efficiency.

National Insulation Training Program Features 3E Plus^®

The 3E Plus program is one of the featured tools in the National Insulation Training Program (NITP) offered by the National Insulation Association (NIA). NITP is a two-day training program designed to educate attendees on how to choose the right insulation system for piping and equipment insulation found in mechanical and process systems.

The objective is for attendees to acquire a working knowledge of insulation and insulation systems design that help avoid costly mistakes that result in system failures and injury of plant personnel. The program incorporates a number of practical exercises that provide real insights into insulation technologies. And, students get to see first hand the broad range of products and specification tools currently on the market.

3E Plus Insulation Software Training Seminar

NIA's comprehensive 3E Plus Insulation Software Training Seminar is a 3.5 hour long training program focused on getting the user familiar with all aspects of the NAIMA's 3E Plus program.
